How to Make Chicken Liver Pate
Do you ever get bored with the same old appetizers?
Well, here's something different that, around our house at least, is always a crowd-pleaser: Chicken Liver Pate!
This recipe comes from Evan's stepmom Pam, an expert in all things gourmet.
It's simple to make yet offers a complex, rich, and satisfying taste.
We've been enjoying this dish for years, usually on special occasions like Thanksgiving Day or Christmas.
It's a delicacy we think you'll love and once you try it, you'll probably find yourself craving it over and over again!
Ingredients:
1 lb. pasture-raised chicken livers (chopped)
1/4 cup butter
1 medium onion (chopped)
1/2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. curry powder
1 pinch salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 cup softened butter
1/8 cup brandy
Directions:
Combine everything except the softened butter and brandy in a saucepan. Cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.
Puree in a blender.
Add the softened butter and brandy to the blender and puree.
Put the pate into a serving dish. Cover and chill.
Once it's chilled, serve with crackers and enjoy!
